Case Study : Fire & Rescue Service
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service contracted Wendy Aldred to develop a programme of training to deal with Fairness and Respect. The contract involved working closely with other key members of the service to develop the material to ensure that it was aligned to the organisation’s requirements. This work included the development of a package to be delivered to employees throughout the service.
Wendy Aldred personally delivered the managers workshop to a wide spectrum of managers within the service. Wendy was in regular communication with service representatives to maintain a two way flow of information to keep abreast of issues within the service that may be likely to influence the discussions during the workshops.
The Service was keen to ensure a consistent approach for the employees workshop at the workplace so this was produced by Dagon Services, and included a powerpoint package with detailed guidance notes. This approach was well received by the managers delivering the workshop to have access to a comprehensive set of resources.
This piece of work included the production of a report from the evaluations received from the workshop delegates. Wendy with the assistance of myself and another service colleague formulated these recommendations into an action plan for the Service Management Team to take forward.
The work delivered was well received by all those involved and in particular it was refreshing to work with an enlightened external provider who was able to competently adapt to the workshop audience.
